1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how Box and Van uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, and how tracked referral links and QR codes are attributed when someone reaches the website through an approved referral partner.

2. Necessary cookies and storage

Box and Van may use cookies, session storage or similar technologies that are necessary to provide requested website functions, maintain security, authenticate portal users, protect checkout flows, remember essential session state or prevent misuse. These technologies are used only where needed for the service or another permitted purpose.

3. Referral links and QR codes

Approved referral links can contain a partner or campaign code. When the link is opened, Box and Van may record a server-side scan event and carry the referral information through the destination URL so a quote or booking can be attributed to the correct partner.

The current referral route does not set a new persistent referral-tracking cookie. Legacy referral cookies issued by earlier versions of the website may remain until they expire or are deleted, and are read only to preserve existing attribution while that legacy period ends.

4. Analytics, advertising and other non-essential technologies

Box and Van does not treat future analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking as automatically permitted. Before introducing a non-essential storage or access technology that requires consent, Box and Van will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent mechanism.

5. Managing browser storage

Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies and other stored site data. Blocking technologies that are strictly necessary for authentication, checkout, security or another requested feature can prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
